Dream Queen/ Blue Lights

–°hanged Jul 24, 2017
This is my very first grow attempt, I have been growing my plants in a grow bin( 17 gallon) inside of a dog house for the first half of their lives then i brought them inside. Inside the bin I have three 100 watt equivalent cfl bulbs as well as a small about 4 inch fan. (First grow I only used two lights for about 90% of its growing) I am also growing my plants in two pretty small holders with fox farm soil. Using flora nova nutrients

Welcome SleeperOG! Look like they need more light than 150W CFL

Thanks! What do you recommend? They are 150 watt equivalent (if that makes a difference) thanks

I can recommend LED or hps. As for me HPS better and cheaper

So CFL are awesome for small grows. From what I know the more the merrier. So instead of two 150 watt cfl bulbs consider 7 or 8 40 watt CFL's. Space, heat, and cash are all great reasons to use CFL's. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. Do you think these will still have a nice yield? The next grow I do I will get a larger bin

Couple of quick points. You need to PH water during flowering to about 6.0 ish to help the plant uptake Sulfur And all of the other goodies associated with bloom nutrients. Get a digital PH meter It's worth the $20. Never rush anything. Once you buy one figure out what PH they normally get and slowly move it up to 6.0. Generally for clones I like to flower in 3 gallon pots. Your limited by space which is ok. With the lack of soil nutrient you have to supplement nutrients. It also looks like they could use some Mag. Add a small pinch of epson salt to your next feeding, if you haven't already. If you want yield or to increase your yield right now take a trip to a hardware store buy one 60 watt 2700k or 5500k cfl grab a light fixture that hangs, typically they come with an aluminum lamp shade. Take off the shade and hang it right between the plants. Might run you $15. Your plants will respond ten fold. Good luck

The water has helped and my girls are back to normal. Gave them nutrients today
  • The blue lights has finally shown some life, I have also realized that I am sure I have been under watering my two plants. Will see how they continue to do, will be increasing water amounts from now on. The next time they need water I will be using nutrients too.

The large helping of water definitely helped both plants perk back up! The blue lights looks like it will make a very nice recovery, watering with more plain water today.
  • So the nutrient water definitely helped the blue lights, which is now much more perked up, however the dream queen is still very wilted. Seeing that the nutrient water helped so dramatically I gave them both another generous amount of plain water and will see if it helps. I took out the sun reflector also, planning on ... Read more
  • I've been out of town for the past 4 days and was unable to water until today, I am thinking they are so wilted due to not enough water so I gave them a good amount of nutrient water to see if that will help the leaves. I moved the bin indoors because of previous problems with wilting of the leaf tips, it was NEVER thi... Read more

  • This is my first grow and i am growing two plants enclosed in a small plastic bin with a small fan and two 100 watt equivalent cfl bulbs. Wondering why one of my plant's fan leaf fingers is twisted over. I have also had problems with the leaves as far as one getting some very small yellowing browning on the center of i... Read more
