You have to. It's better to take a big pot and plant the seedling into the soil up to the first leaves.

depends on height of the seedlings usually what i would do is put it in a rockwool until 4 inches in height, transplant it to a 1 gallon pot, then wait till it half way root bound transplant it to a 3 then a 5 and in flower either a 7 or ten gallon, thats for photo seeds if it is auto just leave it in a 3 gallon pot after rockwool
